Teacher education in the cinema?

Dear friends,

“Un Monde” (“Playground”): a film to watch!

This is a seven-year old’s perspective of starting school in urban France: a short movie about resilience in the face of bullying, and a child’s exposure to a world which she can only partly understand.

Although a scripted movie, it feels very real: the camera shows us school life from a child’s height. Children absorb so much more than they can process, and both they and the adults around them are often moved to misguided actions with the best of motives.

If it plays somewhere near you and you need a recommendation, this is it: Superb and moving teacher (and parent) education!

Best wishes,

Sven
