An embedded, transformative Craft weekend for Waldorf Institute students.

John Dewry said: “Give children something to do, not something to learn…the learning will be the result of the doing!”

Over three days we were introduced to the value of “Learning by Doing” by Bernard, Sam and Jess, three highly skilled and experienced craftsmen. This is an annual event, and our students can’t wait until next year to try a different activity!

Amazing objects were created from iron, clay and leather- but all would agree that the thrill lay in the production, not the product. Look in the Gallery for great photos! What a great metaphor for education!
